1. Scope of this policy

This policy explains how RANBHI TRADERS ("we", "us") handles information in the Ranbhi Notes app for Android (package com.ranbhitraders.notes). Our website has its own privacy policy.

2. Who we are

Ranbhi Notes is developed and published by Ranbhi Traders, the trading name of RANBHI TRADERS, a business registered in India. RANBHI TRADERS is responsible for the app and for this policy.

3. In short

  • Your notes stay on your phone. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
  • The app has no account, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics.
  • The app asks for no permissions that need your approval and does not connect to the internet.

4. Information in the app

The notes and checklists you write, with their title, colour, pinned state and the time each was last edited, are saved in the app's private storage on your device. Deleted notes stay in the app's Trash, on your device, for 30 days and are then removed. We cannot see any of this, and we have no copy of it.

5. Voice typing

When you tap the microphone, the app opens your phone's own speech service, such as Google's, which turns your speech into text and returns it to the note. That service, not this app, handles your voice and follows its own privacy policy. The app itself never records audio and does not have microphone permission.

6. Home-screen widget and sharing into the app

If you add the widget, it shows the titles and start of your pinned and latest notes on your home screen, where anyone holding your unlocked phone can see them. If you share text from another app to Ranbhi Notes, that text is saved as a new note on your device only.

7. Device backup

If you have turned on Android's backup for your device, Android may include the app's notes in that backup, stored in your own Google account and restored when you set up a new phone. This is handled by Android and Google under your device settings, not by us, and we cannot access it. You can turn backup on or off in your phone's settings.

8. Sharing a note

A note is sent out of the app only when you tap Share. It then goes to the app you choose, such as WhatsApp or email, and that app's own privacy policy applies.

9. Permissions

The app asks for no permissions that need your approval. It does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, files or phone number. The links to this policy and to our help page open in your own web browser.

10. Advertising and analytics

The current version contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting software. If a future version adds any, we will update this policy before that version is released and describe what the new service collects.

11. Keeping and deleting your notes

  • Notes are kept until you delete them.
  • To delete one note, open it and tap the delete button. It moves to the app's Trash, where you can restore it or tap Delete forever. Notes left in the Trash are removed the first time you open the app after 30 days.
  • Step-by-step instructions are on the Delete your data page.
  • To delete all notes, clear the app's storage in your phone's settings (Settings > Apps > Ranbhi Notes > Storage > Clear storage), or uninstall the app.
  • Because we hold no copy, deleting them on your device deletes them completely, apart from any backup you made yourself.

12. Security

Notes are kept in storage that Android allows only this app to read. Protect your notes by using a screen lock on your phone. No method of storage is completely secure.

13. Children

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

14. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if the app changes how it handles information. The date at the top shows the latest version.
